sophia Santiago

Sophia began her dance training at the age of two in Puerto Rico, studying Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Acrobatics, and Salsa. After relocating to Florida, she continued her education at the Osceola County School for the Arts, where she graduated in 2021 as a Dance Major. Throughout her training, Sophia had the opportunity to work with distinguished instructors in Ballet, Jazz, and Modern dance, further refining her technical foundation and artistic development.

During this time, she participated in numerous state and national competitions, assessments, and professional productions, while also exploring choreography and cultivating her own artistic voice.

At the age of 13, Sophia discovered her passion for ballroom dance through OCSA and began competing in American Rhythm and International Latin. Her competitive career led to several national and international accomplishments, including earning the title of United States Silver Medalist and becoming a finalist in the World DanceSport Series.

Following her competitive career, Sophia remained committed to both her personal training and dance education. She has taught students ages 4–17 at multiple studios, specializing in Latin dance and youth instruction. In 2025, she joined Fred Astaire Dance Studios as a dance instructor, where she expanded her expertise to include American Smooth.

Sophia is deeply grateful for the mentors who have guided and inspired her throughout her journey. She is passionate about sharing her knowledge with the next generation of dancers at Ace Dance Project.
