Macey rigdon

Macey grew up a gymnast and has always had a passion for the arts. Following her journey as a competitive gymnast, she transitioned into coaching, working with compulsory and Xcel programs. During this time, she trained under high-level coaches, integrating these techniques into her own coaching. Her love for creative movement drew her to choreography, where she worked with gymnasts to build routines that showcased their personal strengths. During this time, she collaborated with dancers in Jacksonville to help them blend acrobatic skills into their choreography.

Traveling to see a Cirque du Soleil show in Las Vegas changed everything, sparking a dream to pursue a career as an artist. Macey started training handbalancing while finishing up her degree, traveling to learn from performers in NYC and Las Vegas. Just months later, she received an offer to perform with AntiGravity, a professional performance company in Orlando. Within a few months, she had the opportunity to perform in events like the Epcot International Festival of the Arts alongside other exclusive events. A year later, Macey teamed up with her partner, Joey, to train partner acrobatics. Training alongside advanced performers, they began performing dynamic acrobatic skills together at various dance studios and venues like the Epcot World Showcase.

Macey continues to perform handbalancing and partner acro alongside coaching. She is so excited to work with Ace Dance Project and bring her knowledge to the studio, helping dancers build a strong acro foundation and take their skills to the next level!
